Our online services allow you to:

  • See a breakdown of your mobile usage including data to help manage your spend

Prevent “Bill Shock” - Exorbitant Phone Bills With Mobile Data Usage Charges
Since the introduction of application hungry ‘Smartphones’, such as the iPhone, more people are accessing the internet via their mobile phone. Mobile internet gives users the ability to browse the net, view online videos, download files, use maps and send emails either via at either 3G, or GPRS speeds.

As a result of using large amounts of mobile data, some mobile customers may suffer “bill shock”. Please be aware should you exceed your included Cap value you will be charged for every MB which you consume. It is important that you use Mobile data with caution.

Tips to prevent “bill shock”:

Choose the right mobile plan according to your data usage: Compare and select the plan that matches your mobile lifestyle. TPG offer plans for heavy data users:

Check Your Mobile Data Usage Frequently: It is important to continuously check and monitor your mobile data usage. Log into “Your Account” at www.tpg.com.au/account with your mobile number and password and select ‘View All Mobile Service Accounts’

Manage the applications and activity which takes place on your phone:
  • Limit Your Video Viewing: Avoid viewing videos on websites like YouTube
  • Make sure that push notifications are turned off to prevent uncontrolled data sessions
  • Use WiFi where possible
We recommend that you Switch Off Data Roaming: When you travel overseas make sure to switch off data roaming. Switch off data via your Mobile Service Control Panel. Log into “Your Account” at www.tpg.com.au/account with your mobile number and password.
